We, the People, hold these truths to be self-evident...

What About My Choice?

Sadly, here we are again, as a nation, watching the politicizing of a horrific tragedy, in an effort for the Ruling Class to gain some sort of mis conceived advantage.  This is where the whole f'n topic goes off the rails for the first point... Human Life is not point in a chess match ya' bunch of elected jackasses.  That is exactly the concept that helps to perpetuate these senseless acts of "work place violence."  We have devalued human life and the propensity to do good and achieve great things, all to be assigned a political class or a racial class or a religious class or a statistic.  We leave the families to mourn these tragedies, collect the data, and put an opponent on blast for our talking point of the day.  So please Mr/Ms/Mrs President/Senator/Representative, I beg you to look at that tiny little oath of office you "took" before assigning new laws that "We The People" have to choke down.  Observe and abide by the Constitution.  Don't try and reinterpret what is there and step above and beyond what is your assigned power.  It's quite ironic that "freedom of choice" is the rallying cry for a woman and her body, when that suites the needs of an agenda.  However, when it comes to MY "freedom of choice" in regards to keeping and bareing arms, which is plainly stated in the 2nd Amendment, according to the ruling class and their water carrying media types, we, as a people are too stupid to be able to exercise that right correctly, so, according to the New York Times, some rights must be legislated.  Apparently reading comprehension is not a requirement to be a writer at the NYT, because the 2nd Amendment strictly says "shall not be infringed " when addressing the role of government in this matter.  So in an effort to level the playing field, I motion to remove freedom of the press from the 1st Amendment, then that kind of ignorant, self serving drivel won't have to be considered as factual thought.

So, in closing, maybe... Please leave my right to choose up to me.  I'm not going to force anyone to arm themselves and keep guns in their home.  They have the right to choose not to participate in the 2nd Amendment.  Please don't lump me into some group of raving lunatics, regardless of the reasoning behind my choice.  Wether it's hunting and sport, or self defense, or to keep in check the government (please see the extra-Constitutional departments of the Federal Government who have firearms), it's still my right.  And for the people who use misinformation and rhetoric to advance a larger government agenda, shame on you for minimizing your role in America. For those of you overreaching bastards who want to change what is not yours to change, please leave office, and if necessary, the Country.  And for those of you who have been left without a family member because some nut job does not value human life, I pray for you as you mourn a loss that should not be endured, and I ask God to bring a peace into your lives.

Not So Fast

And here it goes again, a tragedy that leads to senseless violence.  Yes, the case in Ferguson  was a tragedy, anytime there is loss of life, there is no other way to label it.  However, after that, labeling, mislabeling, relabeling, and unlabeling have run rampant.  Watch social media for 10 minutes and you can plainly see the raw emotion that brims just under the surface of our society.  Bigoted names and claims fly around like Oboma executive orders.  Sadly, nobody is willing to remove this emotion to look at the information laid before them on the table.  The willingness to jump to conclusions by several leaders have lead people down a hard dead end that does nothing to facilitate any kind of relation building... And shame on them for doing so, a-holes.  But all of this has brought me to a point that has nothing to do with the Brown case, as it had nothing to do with race.  It has to do with the reactors, some overreactors, and the audacity of people who can fearlessly hide behind big words and an LCD screen.  During the reading of status updates and comments and replies, I did some searching.  I came to the conclusion that "white privilege" or wp, does exist, and it's a thriving, growing, out of control monster.

But wait, there's more...  I have chosen to revisit an above mentioned person, the relabeler.  I'm adopting that for a moment, so those of you that have found their jaws resting firmly on the floor, please read on.  WP is no longer the socio-economic Progressive drivel it once was.  The definition in dealing with Whitey having an advantage in all facets of life over all minorities has lived its life and can now go retire in the Center for BS.  I have come to understand, and redefine, as my assumed power of relabler allows me to do, as "the privilege of automatically, and unequivocally, being identified as a racist because one has white skin, regardless of experience, views, or any rational thought process."  So basically, I'm white, so I'm always incompassionate, hate filled, bigoted, uneducated, and wrong.  I can honestly say, and mean, that it sucks that Brown died, any loss of life is a tragedy, I am praying for his family, and the city.  Sadly, a small amount of respect for a law enforcement officer could have helped to lead us down a different road in history.  I could, and do, truly believe both of those statements, but thanks to WP, all one has to do is see that I'm a white guy, and suddenly my words are magically transformed into "I hate black people."  Which is truly unfortunate, because firstly, I don't, plain and simple.  And lastly, I would love to be a supporter and ally of an equal society, but I'm not allowed  'cus WP said so, and the narrative matters more than the truth.  We tend  to find ourselves standing on the threshold of impacting society and history way to often, and thusly it seems we never gain ground, or actually find ourselves losing it.  It comes back to that emotion thing again.  Emotion and passion are great and powerful things, as long as we can support them with the concrete of logic and fact.  However, it's dangerous to dismiss the logic, and then replace it with opportunistic wolves in sheeps clothing.  All I'm asking is that one look one of these huge moments uncomfortably in the eyes and in the darkness of yourself, ask why, and ask it 5 times.  Dig to the root cause, even if it hurts, and be willing to accept that someone is wrong, regardless of affiliation.  Know that we, collectively, can never change society when we singularly can't, and won't, change our individual self.

Pent Up

Guess its great to back in full force... had some things pent up.  But its time to address the brain drain that is, but shouldn't be, gun control.  Its such a multi-facet conversation, that its hard to get to any one person's root cause for how they have come to their opinion.  I'm gonna be up front, for the longest time my opinion hinged on the fact that I grew up on a farm and learned to shoot at an early age, and enjoy it still today.  But as I grew older and began to observe and understand difference influences and history, my opinions hardened.  So, here is the basic concept we have to understand, as our Founding Fathers considered the right of the public to arm itself, its not about hunting, regardless of how many people say it, regardless of part affiliation, HUNTING DOESNT MATTER, in this conversation.  One may be able to make the arguement that citizens can own firearms to protect their homes... but they leave "from intruders" unsaid.  Generally, intruders is defined as a person or party breaking into one's home to rob or injure the homeowner.  While thats closer to real reason than hunting, its not historically accurate.  Here is the "dirty secret" the Government does not want you to realize... Franklin, Madison, Washington, Adams, and others, put such an emphasis on an gun holding civilian base... to KEEP GOVERNMENT HONEST and dont forget out of our lives.  Remember, they had to fight a war against a British empire, and the rest of Europe was going through similar political turmoil with dictators or kings.  They despised tyranny and wanted to create an atmosphere that promoted a government held in check by its citizens.  That is why Amendment #1 is the Freedom of Speech and Religion, so that we could voice our concerns without fear to jail or death.  Thus making Amendment #2 almost more important, because its harder for a government to shut me up if I can forcefully keep them out of my face.  And should this tyranny-creep happen, the public is armed, and encouraged, to take back the government that has become unruly.  So, for anybody who wants to limit "high capacity magazines" or "assault rifles" because "nobody needs 30 bullets to kill a deer," I answer with "then why does the Department of Homeland Security have the magazines and firearms?"  Not to mention buying up millions of rounds of ammo at a time.  We have an branch for Armed Forces, which includes National Guard and Coast Guard, so why exactly does that department need to seemingly gear up for a confrontation? And who are they confronting?  My questions answer the prior question... I want it, and have a right to it, because I have the right to match firepower with a government who has way surpassed being deemed unruly.  It is often accredited to Benjamin Franklin, as the story goes, after the Constitutional Congress, and everything was signed, a woman approached Franklin and posed the question "What form of government have you given us, a monarchy, a dictatorship?" to which he replied "A Constitutional Representative Republic," to which he followed with one of the most poignant statements in our founding... "if you can keep it."  Well, this is one of those points where we need to utilize our Representatives, hold them accountable, and fight to keep what was promised us in the Constitution.

At Last...Wow

Well, I appoligize for the long time between posts... some computer issues along with my great ability to loose sign ons and passwords have left those of you who actually enjoy my ramblings in the cold.  For those of you, I appoligize.  I realize I have missed many a quality situation to rag on one politician or another, or another, or 3 more, or.... I'm sure we get the point.  But there are some simultaneous "partisain" issues (according to the POTUS) that would be front page everything every hour of every day on every channel... if it were a Bush or Regan.  But our wonderfully obedient Progressive media stream has been busy with other things and just NOW realized that just maybe the White House was not ENTIRELY honest during the initial Benghazi developments from last September.  Sorry Hillary, it does make a difference.  Look into the faces of the families of the people who were killed and tell them it doesn't matter.  For those of us who are a little fuzzy on some details... The Ambassador asked for extra security more than 2 months before the planned, yes even the Lybian President told us this, attacks occurred.  Aside from that, the attack was not mere moments long... it went on for 9 freakin' hours!  And we (people in power in DC) had real time knowledge of the events.  And what could those people with that real time knowledge in DC do, right, from this far away?  Unleash Hell.  Yup, unleash it, it was chomping at the bit via drone operators, aircraft carriers, and other locations that could have had several teams of the most elite fighting group, that's right, Navy SEALS, on sight within 4 hours... FOUR freakin', ridiculous, politicized hours.  We had so many options we could have thrown darts to pick, but we chose to "stand down."  Why is "stand down" so important?  We had to give orders to all the different options previously noted to stay put and let 4 Americans die for?  That's it, for what?  There is lots and lots of speculation, none of which will bring back the dead fathers/brothers/sons/husbands.  But to think that some media outlets, because they were lied to then, are just now asking the questions?  Wow, that all I got for that one.

And to keep this next part short and to the point... IRS, you got busted picking and choosing who to harass.  The Tea Party name, or the word Patriot is not exactly a reason to with hold or remove any tax exempt status.  Please, just own it and move on.  With that being said, who really wants the IRS, the tax department of our Country, involved in your health care?  If they cannot honestly review tax exempt applications, what makes us think the are going to levy finds accordingly?  Wow, yup, wow pretty much sums that up too.

Keep It To Yourself...

So, on a daily basis, we get to hear things about peoples “rights,” some of which reside nowhere in the Constitution, how this person is that label or these people hate this group.  But that’s a conversation for another day.  I just find it grossly hypocritical for liberals to claim that Conservatives want to limit this right or that right based on no factual information what so ever.  However, if somebody from the Right calls a Dem out for doing the same thing, then they are just playing politics… really?  Look in the mirror and take your freakin’ medicine!  Look at the current swirl of stories and polls involving Obama vs. the Catholic Church.  Libs defend the point that women’s’ health is an important issue and they have the “right to choose.”  Now don’t get me wrong, I am all about women getting to be healthy, but the right to choose (which does not reside in the afore-mentioned Constitution) cannot trump the actual 1st Amendment, which lays the groundwork for freedom of religion.  I have a hard time wrapping my head around somebody’s right trumping somebody else’s right.  And why is it only a Libs rights that are assumed defendable?  If women have the right to choose, then why doesn’t the Church also have a right to choose, but in the aspect of what medical expenses they are willing to insure?  How is it acceptable for somebody to put a crucifix in a jar, pee on it and call it art, but it’s not acceptable for the Prophet Mohammed to be parodied?  Why is the Christian expected to shut up, but the Muslim retaliation of car bombing is par for the course?  Why is it when I say I am Conservative, I automatically hate gays and women?  But show me where any women’s rights organizations have protested Islam’s sharia law, where women are completely subservient to men, including the point where a woman has to have four male witnesses to support an allegation of rape.  If those witnesses cannot be produced, the woman is found to be an adulteress and stoned to death, but I hate women because, why?  Don’t forget, gays are also put to death under the same theocracy.  And lastly, why are white men the only people capable of racism?  Why is it acceptable for the New Black Panther Party to stand outside a polling place intimidating white voters with night sticks and forcing said voters to leave before they cast their ballots not a voting rights and hate crime?  The answer to that is because our African-American Attorney General said those laws are only for blacks and that whites will never be victims, but that isn’t racist.  How does being Conservative equate to Nazi or the KKK?  For those not aware, Lincoln and MLK were GOP, while the KKK, 3rd Reich, and Jim Crow (laws) all stemmed from socialists/democrats… but I’m the bad guy?  Ready for a big secret… Planned Parenthood was founded by Margaret Sanger (a progressive), who initially called it the Negro Project.  She wanted to place “family planning” services in poor and black neighborhoods to “eliminate the human weeds.”  So, unless you’re willing to wear a label yourself, please, stop applying them to me.  Your game of projection (calling me what you are) will no longer work, I shall not sit in silence and be considered the perpetrator of awful acts, attitudes, or beliefs just because…

Grow a Set!

Normally, at this juncture I would go on a giant tirade about how our President is a huge liar and is greatly misrepresenting the work done by his pal Harry Reid and the US Senate.  I would rant and rave at how insincere it is to claim the GOP wants to "raise taxes on working Americans," because the House did not pass the Senate's version of a budget, which recently means a very, very short term extension, in this case about 2 months.  Generally, expletives would be flying around as I lay out how the Senate has not passed a budget in more than a thousand days (yes, thats over 3 years.)  But not this time, this time I am coming after the Republican leadership and establishment who cannot seem to do the right thing and look like the Good Guy at the same time.

You see, the House GOP is completely aligned with what their voters wanted when they were elected, especially the 2010 Midterm, where there was a bigger  swing in seats in the House than any other time in the last 60 years.  They have it right, no more piddly extensions so we have to have this discussion again before the snow melts (in Ohio).  The Repubs want to do a full year, which is how spending and budgets and all that stuff is supposed to be done.  But the Dems in the Senate pulled some slight of hand by passing the extension as they were closing up shop for Christmas, and leaving town before the ink was dry, therefor, not allowing for the process of a committee that would work out a compromise between the two different bills, as the House's bill did not exactly match the Senate's bill.  Pretty sneaky, and it even got the support of Obama, who has at least all the available jets ready to fly to Hawaii for the Obama family "whatever they celebrate."  Ya see, the GOP need to stand in front of every camera and every microphone and demand the President get off his plane and that the Senate reconvene to complete their Constitutionally mandated job of passing a budget.  They need to be blunt and let the American people know that the Dems just wanted to go home for Christmas and did not want to do what they should to collect their paychecks (our tax dollars).  But instead, I hear all the rejects on the news stating things like the Repubs are just playing politics by adding the Keystone Pipeline to the bill, putting the President in a tough spot to make a hurried decision.  Good, I am glad they did, 50 plus thousand jobs would do us good right now, plus the oil from a friendly neighbor (Canada) instead of an unstable region who wants to kill us would be seen at the pump.  By the way, it would not be hurried either, this pipeline has been studied for 3 years.  At any rate, the GOP needs to speak out with what their intentions are, what the problem is, and stop being so nice to a political opponent who has no interest in the American process, only in re-election.  Please, Republican leadership, listen to your voters, follow your principals, and grow a set!

SORRRY... Threw Up In My Mouth A Little

So the news is out, our brave, selfless, heroes are comming home from Iraq, so let me, from the bottom of my soul, thank you for what you have had to sacrifice so that I can sit here and run my mouth while my wonderful children can watch whatever they want on a bajillion channels in a nice toasty house after eating (close your ears First Lady Obama) chicken mcnuggets and apples.  Without your (and your familys') unique ability to swallow your suffering to put God and Country first, we would not be able to continue as the greatest nation the human experiment has ever created.

With all that said, and said sincerely, I have to appologize that I about drove off the road as I listened to the President's speech at Ft. Bragg where he put himself in front of the Country (again) to feed his insatiable ego.  I am sorry that your joy of being reunited with your families, possibly in time for the holdidays.... ahhh, screw it... in time for Christmas has to be ruined, politicized, and downplayed by someone so unAmerican as Mr. Obama.  I remember hearing him say he was "the only major candidate who did not support going to Iraq."  And while that may be the case, in spirit... he did not actually stand on the floor of the US Senate and rail agaisnt the "cause" to the face of VP Cheney, as Barry was in the Illinois STATE Senate at the time.  Speaking of the "cause," it was not applaudable, or acceptable, when President Bush spoke of the evils of the Iraqi Regime at the time, I do believe Mr. Obama stated it was "a stupid war."  In fact, he actually went all around the Middle East appoligizing for America's arrogance once he became Commander in Chief.  But now, however, now that they are his "orders," the "cause is noble and just," and we did the things to bring freedom to people who so desperately needed it.  REALLY?  How gullible, ignorant, uninformed, and naive do you think we are, Barry?  How dare you stand in front of the people who signed up to possibly die for our Country and ooze your slimy, dishonest drivle?  Playing on the emotions of families willing to sacrifice all to play at their heart strings as "the one who brought them home" makes my stomach heave.  I will be heartless and shallow enough to say that it figures, you ran on ending the War when you were elected, now you will seek re election on the emotions of bringing home our loved ones... shame on you.  I hope I sit here, bantering away, not alone, but among many who find distaste in what was said, among many who will, and do, remember your hate for something for which you now want credit, among many who just threw up in their mouths a little bit.
